5 best coworking spaces in Malta for when home office isn’t cutting it
Working from home in Malta isn’t always the dream people make it out to be. Sure, the sun’s out most days, but try getting anything done when your neighbour starts drilling at 8 AM. What initially seemed ideal quickly turned into a greater hassle.
Eventually, we came to the same conclusion as so many others: we need better workplaces. Luckily, coworking spots have been popping up all over the islands. They’re offering just the kind of environment where focus actually happens.
And in this article, we’ll explore some of the best coworking spaces in Malta, which might help you regain your groove.
How much do coworking spaces cost in Malta? Coworking spaces in Malta typically cost between €15 and €20 for a day pass. However, the price varies depending on the type of membership and whether you opt for a hot desk or a private office. |
1. Mindo Coworking & Offices

Address: 113 Triq l-Imdina Ħal Qormi, QRM 9016
Contact: +35699147523
Operating Hours: Open 24 hours
Mindo is the kind of place you go when you seriously need to focus or even pull an all-nighter. Their service runs 24/7, the desks are comfortable, the Wi-Fi’s great, and everything feels clean.
It’s set in a beautifully restored Maltese townhouse with original stone walls that add a bit of charm. The rooftop terrace is also a spot for Friday drinks.
However, we found out that Mindo isn’t exactly built for mingling during mid-breaks. There are no lounge areas or community events.
Reaching it without a car can also be tricky, as it is a long walk from the bus stop. We really find this a hassle.
But despite all of these, my friend and I still camp out here during deadlines because it has everything we need: a kitchenette, plus private bathrooms with showers for longer stays.
Memberships are also flexible, available at €20 per day or €190 per month.
Would definitely return, no doubt
“I came across Mindo by chance as I was looking for a coworking office that stays open paat the regular office hours. I couldn’t recommend Mindo enough. The place is compact but spacious enough to be able to do work. In my case, I was just looking for a quiet place to study. The place has all you need; coworking desks and computers, a lift to take to take you to the different floors, a small backyard, a kitchenette at the 4th floor, and even a roof area. The office is located in a central part of Qormi and is very close to other shops such as Maypole and stationary outlets. Would definitely return, no doubt.”

It’s a perfect place to work from
“I was looking for a space that offers hot desk option per day and Mindo was the perfect place. You can contact them through their WhatsApp number provided in the website and they will provide you all the details. The staff is very friendly and responsive to all questions. The place is very spacious, it has a well equipped kitchen were you can find coffee, water, tea. The chairs are comfortable also the internet connection is very good. It has restaurants and supermarkets nearby. It’s at 10 min far by car from airport. It’s a perfect place to work from in Malta.”

2. BUSINESSLABS

Address: Level One, Triq Dun Karm, Birkirkara BKR 9037
Contact: +35622195001
Operating Hours: Open 24 hours
BUSINESSLABS has a much livelier vibe than Mindo. With its modern design, open spaces, and bright lighting, the environment feels much more welcoming.
We’ve popped in here a few times, and since it’s also open 24/7, it’s easy to get into your zone whenever needed.
We appreciate that they also offer flexible workspace solutions, ranging from shared offices to private serviced offices. Meanwhile, perks include free coffee, snacks, and access to meeting rooms.
Beyond the physical workspaces, they offer a suite of business support services, including administrative assistance and outsourced customer support. This is great if you need extra assistance.
However, while the location is fairly central, the area can get noisy, especially if you’re seated near the window. The additional fee here is also on the higher side, particularly for private offices, which start at around €350 per month.
Moving our office to BUSINESSLABS has been a game-changer
“Moving our office to BUSINESSLABS has been a game changer. Apart from having our own lockable space, we can make use of hot desks, meeting rooms, kitchenette etc. Even printing an coffee facilities are available. Another peace of mind is that there’s a reception, so gone are the days where someone has to stay put until the courier decides to turn up. Last but not least, BUSINESSLABS hosts a number of companies and professionals from different sectors, and their events encourage networking. Whether it’s business or a personal favour, it’s highly likely that someone in the building can provide assistance.”

Location is very central and easy to get to
“I have had the pleasure of collaborating with BusinessLabs through my job, where a number of events were hosted for youths in terms of workshops and presentations. The place in itself is a fantastic venue, with a certain detail in the simplicity of the setup that makes it aesthetically very pleasing, even for any photography or videography! The team at BusinessLabs are truly the cherry on the cake, always there to provide the perfect experience for any event, from room setups, to access, to food and beverage setup or just a chat! Should I have needed a coworking space I would definitely choose BusinessLabs for all reasons mentioned above. P.S. Location is very central and easy to get to!”

3. Grand Central

Address: 157 Archbishop Street, Valletta, VLT 1440
Contact: +35677093464
Operating Hours: Open 24 hours
Grand Central is a coworking space housed in a traditional Maltese townhouse, complete with a central courtyard and a rooftop terrace providing a panoramic view of the Grand Harbour. It’s definitely a perk when you need a break.
Additionally, we genuinely love the little things they offer. These include a printer, call booths, free coffee, and even a small kitchenette if you’re in for the long haul.
What really sets the place apart from other spaces on this list is that it’s pet-friendly. You get to meet the resident dogs, Ollie and Millie, who add warmth to the atmosphere.
We also like that the staff is usually around during the day. So, the whole area never feels abandoned.
However, the space inside can feel tight, especially during peak hours. The desks are close together, making it tricky to find personal space for deep focus.
Parking is another issue. The area in Valletta can be crowded, so commuting is your best option.
An excellent workspace in Valletta
“Grand Central is an excellent work space in Valletta. It’s well situated, with a great view from the roof terrace and proximity to shops, cafes and restaurants. The space is bright and exceptionally well managed, with details that make it a breeze to work from. The highest commendation go to Iain and Sarah for their insightful understanding of what makes a co-working space and its inhabitants tick – they offer a friendly welcome, events and initiatives that rival those in-house boons from big flashy blue chip companies, and touches that just make getting on with work simple. I visited during the pandemic and was really grateful to find considerate measures in place to protect all the inhabitants of the space. Great facilities, great space, great location and great people – what more do you need?”

Ideal location in the heart of the capital
“Ideal location in the heart of the capital Valletta. Rooftop views over the Grand Harbour and beyond. Many cafes and shops on the doorstep. I spend my life in coworking offices and it’s here where I had both the most efficient work output but also the friendliest welcome. The owner Iain is English but lived in Malta for nearly a decade. So you get local knowledge and experience translated into relatable information. It’s my second time in Malta. When I arrived, I looked at a couple of other centres to compare but swiftly moved apartments to just around the corner from Grand Central to be close to all the action.”

4. Connecticlub

Address: 63 Triq Il-Ballut, Il-Mosta
Contact: +35677600827
Operating Hours: Open 24 hours
Compared to other spaces we’ve tried, Connecticlub in Il-Mosta feels more community-driven. There are big open areas and even a mini-stage for talks and workshops.
The only real drawback is that it can get noisy when the events are on, especially if you’re seated near the main area. There are quieter corners, but they fill up quickly. So, bring headphones if you need silence to focus.
Despite this, what we truly appreciate is the versatility. It’s not just in the physical setup, but also in the services they offer.
Alongside workspaces, they offer educational and mobility programs, as well as business consulting services. These make this spot feel more like a comprehensive support hub.
It’s really one of those few spots that encourages real connection. In fact, we’ve had casual chats here that turned into helpful collabs.
We also appreciate that memberships are flexible, with plans ranging from hot desks to private spaces. However, pricing varies depending on use.
The staff are always helpful
“I was celebrating my 3 years old daughter birthday at Connecticlub and we are all including the kids enjoyed it to the full! I ordered a bouncing castle as the room they offer is quite big, clean and suitable for events like this. The stuff was always very helpful and providing all the necessary information and things we needed. There is a fridge, sound bar system ( by request), tables, big mirror ( so kids can dance 😀), chairs, soft bean bags and etc. There is everything you basically need to make a birthday party. Thanks a lot Connecticlub and we definitely will be coming back to you 😍 Just to add, you can also book a garage so hassle free parking 😅😃”

Exceptional staff, as always
“I recently had the pleasure of renting a room at Connecticlub for my new podcast, and I was thoroughly impressed. The space was not only comfortable and inviting, but it also came with all the professional equipment needed to produce a high-quality recording, including top-notch microphones, a camera, and tripods. The staff was exceptional—friendly, professional, and always ready to help with any setup or technical questions I had. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile made the whole experience incredibly smooth. For anyone looking for a fully-equipped podcast room with outstanding service, Connecticlub is the perfect choice. Highly recommend!”

5. Evolve Coliving

Address: 30 Triq Il-Venew San Ġwann, SGN 1912
Contact: +35677906679
Evolve is not just a coworking space, it’s a co-living setup that naturally attracts digital nomads and remote workers passing through Malta.
The downside is that if you’re not actually staying in the area, it can feel awkward. It’s like you’re intruding on a shared home. That’s why it’s not ideal for individuals seeking a neutral, professional workspace.
Even so, we’re thoroughly impressed by how clean, modern, and quiet the place is. There are 15 private rooms (including 4 suites), a pool, a jacuzzi, and a rooftop terrace for downtime.
A friend stayed here for a few weeks and liked how work and life blended naturally. The dedicated coworking areas have decent desks, a shared kitchen, and ultra-fast 1000/60 Mbps Wi-Fi.
It’s also nice to know that a private conference room is available for those who require a more formal setting.
But what really sets this place apart are the social touches. Weekly shared dinners, casual parties, and community events make it easy to meet people.
Absolutely loved this experience
“Absolutley LOVED this experience! My boyfriend and me stayed for two months and after that we regretted not booking longer because it was such a joy! Really, biggest advice: stay for a minimum of two or three months. This house really brings people together and has it all; pool, garden, gym, big kitchen, workspace with good WiFi throughout the whole house, and the porches for many many good conversations. We made friendships here that continue outside Evolve. We loved the location as well, it’s convenient to be in this more quit area but still really close to where it all happens. We had a motorbike so we could get around easily, but if you don’t have wheels you can order Bolt so so so easily and get anywhere in 10 minutes time. Really recommend Evolve to digital nomads who want to work seriously but also enjoy the life. 🤙🏻 Thanks Matt and Ola, you were great and we hope to be back sometime soon!❤️”

Very convenient for digital nomads
“It was my first co-living experience and I stayed for 2 months in February and March. It was a great experience overall and I would definitely go back and recommend it. Great community, WiFi, nice rooms and communal areas, clean (communal areas are cleaned every day!) and good amenities. The vibe can change from month to month depending on the people as well as you and your needs, as my February was very quiet and March was much more social. During the winter months it can be cold in the house (not in the room, there’s a good heater/AC) and in this big building it’s not possible for everything to run smoothly all the time, but Matt was easily accessible and did everything he could to make it work. The house is in a good neighbourhood and everything you need is close and within walking distance. I would definitely recommend it and miss it already! Malta is also a very convenient place for Digital Nomads. ☺️”
