We found Highway Services to be one of the longest-running names in Malta. Established in 1946 and now in its third generation, they’ve built a reputation for supplying filtration and mechanical components to garages and even marine operators.
They stock over 3,000 filter types, covering everything from fuel and oil to hydraulic and industrial applications. We like that they distribute premium brands like Mann+Hummel, Fleetguard, Hifi, DEUTZ, and Racor, which guarantee OEM-level quality for clients.
It’s also rare that they handle cars, trucks, marine vessels, and heavy-duty industrial equipment under one roof. They even have a Birkirkara workshop that offers diagnostics, installations, and engine testing.
Another feature we appreciate is their free island-wide delivery for stocked items. It shows they value efficiency, especially for busy workshops that can’t afford downtime waiting for supplies.
However, as mentioned above, they are heavily focused on filters and core mechanical parts. If you’re looking for body panels, accessories, or rare vintage components, this might not be the place for you.

What stood out most to us is how easy it is to work with them. Whether ordering online or calling for advice, they’re responsive and helpful. That combination of expertise and convenience makes them feel like more than just a parts counter.

Their inventory is seriously impressive, with over 60,000 parts in stock across their San Ġiljan and St. Venera branches. We were drawn to their premium brand lineup, which includes Bosch, Sachs, and Filtron, so you’re not just getting generic spares.
Aside from parts, they stock everything from batteries and oils to diagnostic tools and coolants. In fact, they also cater to a broad range of European and Japanese vehicles without compromising quality.
However, one thing to note is that there’s no e-commerce checkout, so you’ll need to call or message to place an order.
Despite this, we especially like their accessibility, with two well-placed outlets and consistent opening hours that make it easy to pop in. It’s the kind of setup that feels both professional and approachable, and we’d happily return for our next purchase.
