“These ladies were great: my 5-person family is on a two-week trip and we needed a laundry solution that was faster and cheaper than the hotel’s, better than what I can do in the hotel sink, and requiring less downtime than a coin laundry. I dropped off a large grocery tote at 9:30a, and the finished, folded bundle was waiting in my room before 4p. They washed whites and colors separately, and did a cool dry to prevent knits from shrinking. €20 covered the laundry, fast service, and hotel delivery.”

“I can not speak highly enough about the service from Lion Laundrette. I needed a large load of laundry done and emailed to see if they picked up from my hotel. Almost immediately I received an email response saying yes. Picked up the laundry at 9am Friday (exactly on time) and returned Saturday evening (I was out most of the day so arranged to return later in the evening). Clothes were perfectly washed and it was only €20. Given the amount of clothes we had laundered, I was extremely happy with the service and price. Highly recommended.”

One drawback we noticed is the payment system. Machines only accept €1 and €0.50 coins, with no card or change machine available, so it’s best to arrive prepared.
Pricing, on the other hand, feels reasonable and straightforward. An 8 kg wash costs €8, a 14 kg load is €12, and tumble drying is €1 per 4 minutes, with the larger machines proving especially useful for bulkier items like duvets.
What made the experience enjoyable was how tourist-friendly and easy to use the system felt.

“What an amazing place for clothes washing. It has great machines. Automatically dispensers detergent and softener so didn’t need to bring anything.
I had an issue with one machine and messaged through FB the issue and someone was here within 10 minutes. I just used another machine. Loose change machine onsite too. Well thought out clean and bright place to be. Washing for us was €8 and drying was €4 the dryer does €1 increments so you won’t be overcharged.”
