Storage spaces in Malta typically cost €10 to €15 per month. This price can easily increase depending on the size of the space, the location of the rental, and the volume of items being stored.
1. StoreX Malta

Established in 2010, StoreX Malta has been simplifying the storage experience through their wide range of options. I love that their services are hassle-free and affordable, while still providing safety for items and clients alike.
I also like that they offer free quotations for domestic and business storage. Additionally, packing materials are offered at this service, and their workers can help pack, unpack, and dismantle items whenever necessary.
The entire facility is humidity-free and uses reliable fire and intrusion alarms to protect the goods inside. Clients adore that security is also covered by a 24/7 camera monitoring system that keeps the guards and facility safe at all times.
When storing pesky furniture, their container loading and furniture lifter are the best options.
One thing to note is that the facility is located in Mqabba. It’s far to the south, and is quite difficult to access due to the narrow roads.

Founded in 2009, U-Store provides a unique version of the storage space. While others are stationary, U-Store uses a mobile self-storage that’s great for those who want to use it for short and long-term storage.
The ease of delivering the storage space to your home is quite amusing, and I found it easy to load items, thanks to their dedicated team of loaders and movers. Storage itself is hassle-free since they bring the mobile storage box to their warehouse for safekeeping.
Other types of storage include boat storage and car storage, perfect services for Malta’s limited parking space. But I don’t find this service practical for larger amounts of items, as it will require several different mobile storage units.
As for the facility itself, it houses a 24-hour CCTV system that also includes a comprehensive burglar and fire alarm system. I also like that it’s a humidity-free environment and all vaults are insured up to €5,000.

For 24/7 secure self-service luggage storage, I’d go for EasyDrop Malta. I was impressed that they double as a laundrette service, providing clean clothes and safe storage across the island.
This facility is perfect for travellers or those who want to explore the island without the hassle of carrying their bags. Notable locations include those in Valletta, Sliema, and St. Paul’s Bay, providing reliable safety and security for your bags.
Two types of storage are available that cater to medium to large luggage. These can store a multitude of items, such as suitcases, shopping bags, and travel gear. Accessing these is also relatively easy and can be done through the access terminals.
But some clients have faced malfunctions with the system, which prevented them from getting their bags until tech support arrived.
Despite this, EasyDrop Malta’s lockers are surprisingly cheap at around €4 to €10. Booking for longer can reach up to €20 to €30 for an overnight stay, which is still reasonable.

Storage Systems is the leading warehouse partner in Malta. Over the past 3 decades, their services have skyrocketed into working with clients of all backgrounds, business ventures, and scales.
Shelving and racking are the main ways of storage at this facility. These are made of galvanised shelving, and I was impressed that they can store several items above their own weight.
What’s truly incredible is the items that can be stored here. From curated museum pieces to vans, almost anything can be stored at this facility, which truly showcases their range and capabilities as a service.
Utilising Toyota counterbalance forklifts, they are able to provide automation solutions that are unmatched by competitors. I appreciate that Storage Systems can also deliver items and provide inspections on already existing items within their facilities.
However, some clients did find the customer service to be subpar, but these cases are easily resolved onsite.

5. Stow Your Bags

Stow Your Bags is a reliable luggage locker at the heart of Valletta. This self-service luggage storage is just minutes away from Renzo Piano’s City Gate and one of the local bus terminals.
I found booking to be easy and can be done through my smartphone or the touchscreen at the location. Depositing my bags was a breeze, and reopening the lockers came at no extra cost during my rental period.
Impressively, these lockers are insured up to €1,000. Items are safe due to the security cameras around and inside the facility, as well as their handy intercom system.
As for rentals, they are cheap, costing at €1.49 to €3.49 an hour or €9.99 to €22.49 per day. Payments can even be made through a debit card or through PayPal, which is handy.
But I was a bit disappointed that they only had one location in Malta.
