5 best event planners in Malta to hold grand extravaganzas
While planning small parties is fun and exciting, large gatherings can be hellish to coordinate on your own. The amount of communication needed can be too much for a single person.
This is where event planners remove the stress for clients by handling every detail, building backup plans and contingencies, and ensuring the entire event runs smoothly from start to finish.
I’ve personally had the help of some through the years and have come up with my choices for the best event planners in Malta. Through their experience, any party can be lively and hassle-free.
How much do event planners charge in Malta?
Event planners in Malta typically charge between 10% to 20% of the total cost of each event. This doesn’t include additional fees for specialised services, the duration of the planning, and additional hourly rates.

KG Events Malta is meticulous with what they do, which I’ve seen firsthand. Their organisers are best equipped to handle weddings, but they’re also capable of working with all demanding events.
This service is affiliated with the International Wedding Planners network, highlighting its strong industry credibility and expertise. Its high standards are evident in every event, making it a preferred choice for both local and international clients.
The types of events that they cater to range from baby showers to hen parties. But it doesn’t stop there, as I’ve seen them do well with serious events, like conferences.
I like that the firm has dedicated florists, photographers, and videographers, which lessens the need for clients to look for their own. Additionally, they’re connected with several five-star hotels and venues, so it’s as easy as choosing which one you’d like.
Still, their additional services aren’t included with the initial payments, so keep that in mind.

JUGS Malta has more than 20 years of experience with over 8,000 successful events delivered. I was impressed by the founders, Josef Gafa and Gianni Zammit, for their innovative approach to all corporate events.
Rather than simply focusing on events, they also provide unique services for team building experiences, conferences, and expos. I do appreciate their range of options, including both indoor and outdoor experiences, as well as seasonal offerings tailored to different times of the year.
It doesn’t stop there since they can even work on virtual conferences, which is a rare service that I haven’t seen elsewhere.
Aside from these, they deal with the usual events, such as summer parties and weddings. Impressively, these come in a variety of themes, the most unique being the Maltese-Inspired events option.
However, these events often create external disturbances that can disrupt smooth operations, especially when neighbourhood complaints arise and interfere with the overall experience.

For a dedicated wedding planner, I’d recommend working with Jurgen Briffa. Since 1999, his event planning firm has helped clients save both time and money by managing the entire event from start to finish.
Clients appreciate his meticulous and refined approach as a planner. From the very beginning, Jurgen works closely with clients to develop the best possible plan for their needs. I was also impressed that he stays involved throughout the process, even through rehearsals.
His services cover the entire event, from securing the venue to arranging essentials such as security personnel—services clients may not initially realise they need. Jurgen even provides doves, further showcasing his dedication to delivering a complete and well-coordinated experience for his clients.
Even on the day itself, Jurgen is often working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly and flawlessly for both the bride and groom.
However, I do wish Jurgen offered his services for a wider range of events, such as baptisms and hen or stag parties, given how much his clients value his meticulous approach.

Afterglow Events works with a wide range of well-known clients, such as Coca-Cola and Pepsi. Since their establishment in 2011, they’ve been a household name in Malta, known for their unique Afterglow effect.
Each event becomes a memorable experience thanks to the agency’s bespoke approach, designing décor and activities based on the client’s wishes. I also appreciate their transparency in their work ethic and the consistent updates they provide, which clients highly value.
Their services are also well known for team-building experiences, and I can personally agree with that. They offer a wide range of activities, including canvas and cocktail painting, as well as a unique game show experience.
For typical events, they are known for hen parties, entertainment experiences, and themed events. I’ve seen how efficiently they work—from the initial branding and concept development all the way through to execution.
However, clients are required to settle their fees within business hours. Otherwise, their events may be cancelled.

5. Perfect Weddings

Another dedicated wedding planner is Perfect Weddings. Established in 2009 by Patricia Falzon, she’s been working in the industry since 1995 and has been a feature in the Maltese wedding scene.
Her weddings have been featured in numerous blogs and magazines around the world, and she caters to all types of weddings. I like that, aside from the traditional Catholic ones, she can also cater her services to whatever culture the bride and groom originate from.
She has venues in Malta and Gozo, which are beloved by clients. My favourite of these has to be the Valletta view, as this modern-designed restaurant is perfect for large gatherings. Additionally, I like the Red Tower and the Castle on the Hill for their rustic vibes.
Perfect Weddings’ portfolio is extensive, and clients can easily look through it to see which wedding resonates with them.
However, they don’t offer extra services, such as catering, so you’ll have to look for a different service for each vendor.

“Well… where to start!!!??? Perfect Weddings…. the name says it all really!
My partner and I had been looking to get married in Malta for a few years and when it finally came to start making arrangements and organising our special day we knew we would need to seek the assistance of a wedding planner out in Malta. We looked around, saw a couple of planners but had no doubt what so ever who we would be asking to help us out after we met Pat from Perfect Weddings for the first time… It was an absolute no brainer. She took her time, listening to what it was my partner and I wanted from our wedding day and helping us understand what we needed to do to make it happen, which as it turned out, was not alot, Pat and her Perfect Weddings team were absolutely fantastic throughout the 12 months of planning.
