Luckily, Malta has plenty of mattress makers and sleep specialists ready to rescue your shut-eye. We’ve rounded up top contenders so you can stop counting sheep and start catching some proper Zzzs.

| Mattress Type | Average Price Range |

1. Vitafoam
Address: Factory UB9, Industrial Estate, San Ġwann
Contact: +356 7923 9817 / Tel 00356 21484992 / [email protected] / Fax 79239817
Hours: Monday–Friday: 7 AM – 3 PM; Saturday: Open for half day
Got an awkward bed frame that laughs at standard mattress sizes? We appreciate that Vitafoam tackles tricky dimensions with custom-made options from its San Ġwann factory.
With decades of manufacturing experience, this local brand knows its way around a good night’s sleep. Its range includes semi-orthopaedic mattresses, natural latex, and Hypnos pocket-spring models.
Need a few finishing touches for your bed? Vitafoam stocks waterproof protectors, dust-mite-resistant covers, and mattress toppers to complete your setup.
Shopping around Malta is convenient, too, thanks to its multiple outlets. You can arrange doorstep delivery or collect your mattress yourself, whichever suits your schedule.
Custom orders do require some planning, though. Non-standard spring mattresses need 7–10 days’ notice, while the San Ġwann factory closes at 3 PM on weekdays.
2. Malta Mattresses Foam & Leather, Bedding & Upholstery
Address: 24/836/838 High Street, Ħamrun
Contact: +356 2123 2159 / +356 7722 5759 / [email protected]
Hours: Monday–Friday: 9 AM – 6 PM; Saturday: 9 AM – 12:30 PM
Tired of tossing and turning on a mattress that just won’t cooperate? Luckily, Foam & Leather’s seven-zone natural latex mattress offers targeted support and a washable cover for fresher nights.
Couples can check out its five-zone orthopaedic pocket-spring hybrids. Their individually moving springs help reduce motion transfer, so every midnight wiggle won’t become a shared experience.
And if you need something beyond the usual bedroom setup, the Ħamrun store carries folding mattresses, baby cot options, and custom-sized foam for bunk beds.
That flexibility comes in handy when furnishing rental properties or awkward spaces. You can also find practical options for different sleeping arrangements without hopping between shops.
That said, a natural latex mattress requires a slatted base. Also, weekend shopping is limited to Saturday mornings, so you’ll need to plan around these issues.
The mattress itself is incredibly comfortable
I had an amazing experience with Foam and Leather! The team went out of their way to answer all my inquiries and ensure I got the right mattress. Their customer service was exceptional, and the mattress itself is incredibly comfortable. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality products and great service. Thank you again!

Whether you’re after traditional springs or memory foam, there’s plenty to explore. Its seven-zone pocket-spring mattresses offer targeted support without making comfort a guessing game.
Better yet, these models come in soft and firm options to suit different sleepers. Their independent springs help reduce motion transfer, so your partner’s midnight gymnastics won’t ruin your rest.
Looking for a little reassurance before committing? Selected pocket-spring and hybrid models come with five-year guarantees.
As for delivery, orders over €25 qualify for free ground-floor drop-offs across Malta and Gozo. That’s one less expense to worry about when upgrading your bed!
However, upstairs deliveries may cost extra, so keep those stairs in mind. Delivery hours are also limited to weekdays, from 8 AM to 3 PM.
They are still impeccable
This is the second time I’ve bought from Royalty Bedding. 4 years ago, I bought 2 complete beds with spring mattresses and mattress toppers. They are still impeccable. Last week, I replaced an old 160×200 slatted base. They had some available that were good quality and at a good price. The slats are embedded in the wood, which avoids a lot of problems. Ordered in the afternoon, delivered the next day. The best part is that they are friendly. I recommend them.

Excellent service
Excellent service. We were taken around their mattresses on display and tried out the feel AS well. Ordered the medium-hard 160 x 200 which fitted our bed base perfectly. We were told the mattress would be ready and available within a week. It was delivered in less time 🙂 highly recommended

4. Mattress Collection
Address: Triq tal-Balal, San Ġwann, Malta
Contact: +356 2146 1962 / [email protected]
Hours: Monday–Friday: 9:30 AM – 7 PM; Saturday: 9:30 AM – 1 PM
Five minutes in a showroom isn’t much time to find your dream mattress. Thankfully, Mattress Collection offers a 30-day home sleep trial on its C1 and C2 models.
We like how the C1 range covers everything from firm to softer comfort levels. Meanwhile, C2 models offer specialised materials like cooling gel and natural latex.
Still unsure about your choice? Eligible trial purchases qualify for an exchange or refund, giving you room to reconsider.
As for delivery, there’s another perk worth mentioning. Mattress Collection offers free delivery across Malta and Gozo, complete with bedroom setup and packaging removal!
There are a few catches to consider, though. Exchanges incur a €20 collection and redelivery fee, while stained or damaged mattresses won’t qualify for returns.
A great example of what great customer service should be
Mr Mark from the San Gwann outlet was extremely helpful and instantly understood the specifications I needed for the mattress. He patiently explained every detail and went out of his way to make sure that the mattress matches my requirements and needs. Definitely a great example of what great customer service should be, apart from the great quality products they provide. Highly recommended

Went out of their way to give perfect service
I have to recommend the two delivery people who delivered a mattress to me this morning. I was impressed by how willing they were to help and went out of their way to give perfect service. Well done; it is not easy nowadays.

5. Morfeus Malta
Address: Triq San Pawl tal-Qliegħa, Mosta
Contact: +356 2799 5234
Hours: Thursday–Friday: 9 AM – 1 PM, 3 PM – 7 PM; Saturday: 9 AM – 1 PM
Malta’s sticky summer nights can make bedtime feel like a sauna session (yuck!). Fortunately, Morfeus brings Italian mattress technology to the rescue.
Its FluxAir by Pininfarina collection features breathable Aquacell foam and thermo-active gels. These materials help regulate temperature, so you won’t feel quite so hot under the collar.
Meanwhile, the Mistral Smartherm mattress gives indecisive sleepers a clever two-in-one solution. Flip between firmer V-Gel Memory and softer EcoMemory to find your comfort sweet spot.
We like that its removable, washable cover makes upkeep a breeze. Selected Morfeus mattresses work with adjustable bases, giving you more flexibility with your bedroom setup.
There’s one compatibility catch worth checking before you buy. The Estella pocket-spring mattress doesn’t work with adjustable bed bases, so make sure yours is suitable.
The best mattress I’ve ever slept on
The best mattress I’ve ever slept on. I was almost late to work twice this week! (I chose the Hilton mattress). Really happy with the bed frame too, such a high-quality finish. Thank you for amazing customer service too.

No tossing and turning, no pain
The first night on this mattress was amazing. No tossing and turning, no pain. No waking up feeling like I got run over by a truck.
For the first time in I can’t remember, it took me a long time to wake up, but because I was enjoying my sleep, and not because I was in pain and severely fatigued.
Even now, as I lay resting after work, I’m realising that I’m not even using pillows under my feet and elbows for support.
Thank you. Immensely.
I’m so glad I trusted Estevan, with his personal similar experience and insight. …
