The 5 best art studios in Malta where creativity shines

  • Duration of Courses: I selected art studios that offer four-week courses held on weekends.
  • Types of Media Offered: I picked art studios that specialise in watercolours, acrylics, or pottery, since these are the most common media offered.
  • Level of Skill Required: I selected art studios that focus on helping beginners learn the basics rather than those that are for experienced students.
  • Ambience and Atmosphere: I chose art studios with a welcoming atmosphere that fosters creativity.

Learning a new skill is always enjoyable, especially when you get to do it with friends. I’ve found that enrolling in the occasional class really helps stimulate my mind, regardless of my level of experience.

Some of the most fun I’ve had was at an art studio in Malta, where a few close friends and I tried our hand at pottery. It didn’t stop there—since then, we’ve explored watercolours, pastels, and even oil painting.

After visiting several studios, I’ve put together a list of the best options for beginners who simply want to relax, create, and have a good time.

How much does it cost to enrol in an art class in Malta?

Enrolling in an art class in Malta typically costs between €120 and €180 for a full course. The price of a course entirely depends on the type of art being taught, such as watercolours, acrylics, or pottery.

It’s definitely my go-to store

“Their very knowledgeable staff are their biggest asset! They have a little bit of everything, especially when it comes to paint. They are a bit thin on canvases, watercolor paper, and specialty brushes. The do have a fairly extensive variety of standard brushes in all sorts of price levels.
