These 5 suppliers of blinds in Malta will convince you to ditch your curtains

I once spent hours scouring the internet and trekking from showroom to showroom, only to end up with blinds that looked like they belonged in a hospital waiting room. Not quite the vibe I was hoping for.

That experience inspired me to share some insider knowledge to save you the trouble. Here you’ll find my favourite blinds suppliers in Malta. These shops are chosen for their variety, quality, and friendly service (and, yes, for helping me finally settle on the right colour).

If you’re ready to skip the confusion, let’s have a look at what makes these suppliers stand out.

How much do blinds cost in Malta?

Blinds in Malta typically cost between €35 and €50 per square metre, depending on the type, size, and material. For a standard window, the total price including installation usually ranges from €50 to €200 or more.

Vical Interiors, established in 1994, offers a wide array of modern and practical blinds.

Their impressive selection, which we experienced first-hand in their showroom, includes zebra, sheer, vertical, and panel track blinds.

One thing we really like is how approachable they make the whole process. If you’re a DIY enthusiast, their blinds are designed for hassle-free self-installation with clear instructions.

And if, like us, you’d rather have someone else handle the fitting, they offer professional installation too.

When it comes to pricing, we were pleasantly surprised. Their roller blinds start from around €35 per square meter, and Venetian blinds from about €45 per square meter, which is very competitive for the quality they offer.

The main downside is the pick-up location. Some customers (and we agree!) find it a bit tricky to locate the shop, since the showroom is on a busy road with limited signage and parking.

Pros

  • Extensive product selection
  • Modern and practical blind options
  • In-store showroom experience
  • Hassle-free self-installation
  • Offers professional installation
  • Competitive pricing

Cons

  • Difficult pick-up location

Excellent service and products

“Very helpful staff both those at showroom in Hamrun and the same at their store. The explanation they gave me to install the folding door, helped me a lot and made this installation very easy. Vical Interiors have very good products at reasonable prices, but the most important thing is the excellent service and respect they give to their clients.”

Top-notch customer service

“Very good customer service, and very pleasant staff. Purchased folding door from them, very satisfied from the service & product. The only small issue for me was finding the pick up place. Will be happy to buy from them again. Most of the Maltese companies need to learn customer service from them!”

BD Blinds welcomes customers with a streamlined process and an impressive array of options, making decision-making easier right from the start.

First off, getting a quote couldn’t be simpler. Just share your window measurements, choose your preferred style, and let the team know your material or colour preferences.

From there, they guide you through each step so you’re never left wondering what to do next.

They also shine when it comes to variety. Beyond the classic roller and Venetian blinds, you’ll find vertical and zebra blinds, as well as contemporary curtain solutions for a modern touch.

If you’re a fan of technology, there are automation options too, allowing you to control your blinds remotely using a dedicated controller. It’s perfectly suited for integration into a smart home setup.

Another advantage is their ability to cater to both domestic and commercial clients. They work closely with architects, designers, and turnkey contractors to provide tailored solutions for projects big and small.

If there’s one thing to keep in mind, it’s that BD Blinds’ focus on quality and strict standards can sometimes come with a slightly higher price tag than some competitors.

Pros

  • Streamlined quoting process
  • Wide variety of blind styles and colours
  • Smart automation options
  • High-quality products

Cons

  • Higher pricing compared to some competitors

Accessing Blinds & More’s services is straightforward. You are welcomed into a contemporary showroom that features traditional roller, Venetian blinds, Roman, pleated, and vertical varieties.

What caught our eye was the selection of materials and finishes. Whether you prefer the natural warmth of wood or sleek aluminium, there are options to suit both contemporary and traditional spaces.

If you have windows that are a bit out of the ordinary, you’re in luck because their made-to-measure service caters for custom sizes and unique design needs.

If there’s one area where Blinds & More could improve, it would be the parking. The area can get quite crowded during busy times, so planning your visit can save you some hassle.

    • Extensive selection of finishes
    • Made-to-measure service
    • Plug-and-play motorised blinds

Sunlock Window Blinds has been serving Malta since 1981 with a clear mission: to provide superior customer service and top-quality products.

This commitment is evident from the moment we stepped into their bright, welcoming showroom. The displays made it easy for us to picture how different blinds would look in our own home or office.

They also stock spare parts dating all the way back to their founding year, so even components from 1981 remain repairable and replaceable—a detail we found both impressive and reassuring.

In addition, all raw materials are sourced exclusively from EU suppliers and rigorously tested under extreme heat and humidity to ensure optimal performance in Malta’s unique climate. Innovation also plays a role in Sunlock’s offerings.

Their new roller blinds feature an installation system that requires no screws or drilling—an ideal solution for renters or anyone seeking a hassle-free setup.

However, it’s worth mentioning that communication can sometimes be a sticking point. We’ve heard from other customers that there can be occasional delays or a lack of updates during the ordering and installation process.

      Pros

      • More than 44 years of experience
      • Spare parts from 1981
      • EU-sourced raw materials
      • Extensive collection of blind styles
      • Rigorous material testing
      • Fire-retardant fabric options
      • Screw-free and drill-free installation

      Cons

      • Occasional communication delays

        Exceptional service and support

“Superb service. The whole experience was a very pleasant one and we were presented with a lot of different options. Special thanks to Roderick, who went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed even after purchase and installation was done.”
