Hosting a wide range of arrangements, Romano Cassar has been servicing Malta for over 70 years. One of the leading florists on the island, I was stunned by their stellar service and incredible floral creations.
Flowers are fresh and come in a variety of styles. Whether you’re looking for a personal gift or one for a special occasion, the choices are wide enough to cater to almost anyone.
Plants are also sold here, such as aloe vera and aglaonema. I was, however, a bit disappointed by their range of flowers. The shop mainly uses roses and carnations, which are beautiful, but a greater variety would be appreciated.
Still, their delivery services are stellar. These arrive on the day and are hand-delivered—and they even come with tips and flower food to keep them fresh for longer.
I also adore their subscription service that offers seasonal, hand-picked flowers each month.

Led by Phyllis Gauci, Flowers by Phyllis has been around for over 30 years. I was impressed by how hands-on she is in guiding her florists to craft stunning arrangements of roses, lisianthus, and hydrangeas.
Each bouquet is treated with respect and importance, big or small. Flower variety is not a problem for Phyllis as she’s often got every seasonal flower in Malta in stock. If a flower isn’t available, I like that they switch it with a similar bloom of the same quality.
Ordering is quick and easy, and scheduling deliveries is a breeze on their website. I was shocked to learn that they deliver across both Malta and Gozo, truly showcasing their dedication to the Maltese people.
However, there are instances when they require you to pick up orders—but these are rare and only happen if they’re fully booked.
Despite this, their flowers are fit for any occasion, and they have dedicated arrangements for each.

I love the symbolism that comes with each of their designs. These are purposefully done, utilising colours and textures to create wonderful artworks using flowers. Dedicated arrangements are offered for every special occasion, so you simply need to choose.
Arrangements aren’t limited to small events, as they cater to wedding venues and corporate functions.
Deliveries are quick, and I appreciate that they offer free shipping on orders above €35. Alistair’s team delivers across both islands, which is a major plus. Scheduling and ordering are also easy to manage through their website.
However, they require clients to pay 50% upfront when placing an order, with the remaining balance due upon delivery, which can be a bit inconvenient.

Artificial flowers are fit for any occasion, and this service greatly highlights their beauty and practicality. I love that these aren’t cheap knock-offs, either. They’re high-quality and come in various shades, types, and lengths.
Fresh flowers, on the other hand, come in bouquets and arrangements that fit certain occasions or styles.
Deliveries are booked through their website, and they deliver directly to your door. I like that there’s no minimum order limit. But I was disappointed that I needed to have an account to order from them.
Nonetheless, I appreciate that their website offers plant and flower accessories that can be easily added to gifts.

Each bouquet and arrangement features the best of their seasonal flowers. Plus, their sustainable practices are attractive to customers who are conscious about the environment.
I like that they have dedicated designs for each occasion and holiday. Prices, on the other hand, are quite reasonable, averaging around €40-€50 per arrangement.
Deliveries are only done to front doors, so please have someone ready to receive them. As for delivery times, they vary, but they get the job done. Impressively, they’re a flower delivery service that offers reliable returns and refunds—a rare sight indeed.
Rescheduling orders is also quite easy and can be done by calling them before your designated delivery time.
