A. Aquilina Building Contractors works with both domestic and commercial clients, and it’s impressive that they provide services to both Malta and Gozo. I find their services to be best for extensions, renovations, and alterations—but they can also work for new buildings.
On top of that, these services cover civil engineering contractors that are great at what they do. Additionally, they are one of the few services that have a dedicated contractor for pools, which is a neat inclusion that other contractors don’t offer.
They are also great for turnkey projects and have experience with hard landscaping, which is to be expected from a masonry service. Aside from that, their demolition services are handy and reliable—most especially when dealing with older Maltese buildings.
But I would have expected more transparency regarding pricing, as the information provided consisted solely of preliminary estimates.

Attard Bros Group has been offering masonry services since 1997. I was impressed to learn that their services are a combined effort between Attard Materials, Attard Projects, and Attard Properties, offering valuable insight into every step.
Their services have been felt across the islands for over 48 years. With over 300 employees and having worked on over 1,000 projects, I can’t help but admire their dedication to Malta’s overall construction.
Construction with them is fairly simple, and project management is done through them as well. I like that they are ISO 45001 certified and follow health and safety regulations. These services also include restoration and conservation work, which is highly sought after in Malta.
The service has even won several awards over the years, most notably the Dedication to Sustainability Award from the Excellence in Construction Awards.
But I have heard claims of their service being difficult to contact through email. I would suggest using their number or website instead for faster responses.

Located in Birkirkara, Kibitec is an innovative masonry service that focuses on bespoke residential projects. It doesn’t stop there, as quite a few clients have even used their services for commercial projects.
Kibitec has been offering its services since 2002. While it’s fairly young compared to competitors, I find it valuable that their works lean more towards modernised aesthetics rather than traditional ones.
As for their services, it’s quite extensive. Their main service covered microcement and plumbing systems, offering consistent waterproofing solutions for projects. There are even tile layering services, as well as a beloved swimming pool installation.
Spanning over 573 projects, these services have been used throughout the island, and clients sing praises for their excellent quality of work.
However, the company has a small team of 26, so they only take on a few projects at a time. But they are known for their quality, so there’s that to consider.

Located in Marsa, Key Contractors is a fairly new company, established in 2020. That doesn’t stop them from providing an honest and dependable Turnkey service that I truly enjoy.
I particularly like how varied their portfolio is for such a new company. From bedrooms to living rooms, to outdoor spaces, their masonry and craftsmanship can be seen and appreciated across different locations and spheres.
In terms of services, they excel in working with micro cement and gypsum soffits & features. Clients have also reported excellent results with their stone restoration services.
Smart homes are a speciality for them, whether constructing or renovating, and they even offer design consultancy as part of their package. On top of that, they can assist with property sales when needed.
However, their expertise is focused exclusively on turnkey projects. They do not engage in partial or standalone construction services.
