DaVinci Health’s orthopaedic clinic is best for those with sports injuries. Established in 2000, they’ve continued to focus on prevention and early detection, showcasing that they truly care for patients.
For surgeons, I like Mr. Thomas. He is a trauma surgeon with over 25 years of experience, specialising in children’s orthopaedics. Impressively, he completed his training in the UK and holds a Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons (FRCS).
Aside from him, 6 other surgeons are available for consults all week. But there are no available surgeons every Thursday, which is disappointing.
Nevertheless, I adore keyhole intervention, a minimally invasive procedure that can treat problems with the knee joint. As for their knee meniscus surgery, patients have found it effective in reducing pain and swelling.

It’s Mr. Joseph N. Borg who stood out to me here. He graduated from the University of Malta and did his training in London at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. Aside from the knees and hips, his main focus involves the spine, which is quite rare.
His services are great for diagnosing and removing spinal tumours, and he’s a specialist in scoliosis. Additionally, he can operate on spinal fractures, with patients reporting that they recovered in just 12 days.
Aside from Mr. Joseph, there are 18 specialists available here daily.
Bonus points for their medical laboratory that pioneers the local healthcare industry. They even have an extensive radiology department here that can provide CT, PET, and MRI scans. However, these services are expensive.

I would like to thank all the operating staff plus the people who took care of me on the ward afterwards. Throughout, the experience was as good as it could be. The care was professional and courteous, the room comfortable, and while hospital food is not expected to be restaurant standard, it was pretty good. In particular Luke and Rachel on the ward were very caring and professional in all they did. While I hope not to be in hospital again, if I needed it, I’d be straight back to St. James.”

ORA Clinic is best for all your orthopaedic needs. They’re the first and only clinic on the island that specifically tailors their services to the entire musculoskeletal system.
There is never a shortage of surgeons at ORA, as one is always available daily. Several well-known orthopaedic specialists provide their services here, but the notable one for me is Mr. Stephan Grech.
He’s an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in spine cases. His surgeries have helped many patients become pain-free, reporting that they felt comfortable every step of the way.
Aside from surgeries, many of their specialists can also provide physiotherapy and rehabilitation services to patients. These facilities are equipped with modernised, safe hardware that can help patients slowly regain their strength.
The clinic also tackles sports-related injuries and provides certain types of reliable pain medication to help patients function daily.
Yet, I was disappointed, since some patients have had difficulty contacting the clinic.

St. Thomas Hospital offers a wide range of orthopaedic services, from the shoulders to the feet and ankles.
Surgery here encompasses total knee replacement and emergency orthopaedic procedures, enabling patients to regain full mobility.
What truly impressed me was their offer of peripheral nerve treatments to address nerve-related pain, beautifully integrating neurology into orthopaedics.
Bonus points for their sports medicine program, which focuses on athletes of all levels rather than just professionals. These greatly help athletes regain mobility and strength, allowing them to perform at their top shape once again.
I was disappointed that they don’t offer any radiology services here aside from X-rays and cardiac CTs. Still, there are other noteworthy treatments here to rave about.
Aside from orthopaedic services, there are also health screenings, perfect for work-related requirements. I’ve also spoken to patients who’ve seen pediatric and cardiology doctors with great overall results.
