The 5 Best Saunas in Malta for Ultimate Relaxation for Every Budget and Need

  • Sauna Diversity and Thermal Hardware: We prioritized wellness facilities equipped with high-performance heat systems across Malta and Gozo.

This includes authentic dry stone Finnish units, targeted infrared cabins, and traditional steam rooms.

  • Contrast Therapy and Complementary Amenities: Our team evaluated the total setup of each venue, looking for cold plunges, hydrotherapy pools, and dedicated quiet zones.

Having extra recovery options makes a massive difference in your overall relaxation experience.

  • Hygiene, Safety, and Atmosphere: We favored established spas and home installers that maintain high sanitation standards and clear safety checks.

A clean, quiet, and well-maintained thermal room ensures you can relax without any stress.

  • Pricing Transparency and Value: We checked for straightforward day-pass fees, clear installation quotes, and comprehensive package options.

Venues that offer easy online booking without hidden surcharges received higher marks.

  • Verified Client Feedback and Service Trust: We reviewed recent local feedback and hospitality ratings across the Maltese islands.

This helped us confirm that each spot consistently delivers great thermal performance and warm service.

After spending months jumping between coastal ocean dips and chilly Mediterranean winters, I realized how much a good sweat session can reset your body.

But finding the best saunas in Malta isn’t always straightforward since choices range from luxury hotel thermal suites to custom setups for your home.

Whether you need an infrared cabin to speed up muscle recovery or a quiet day pass at one of the top spas Malta has to offer, there are plenty of stellar options across the islands.

I put together this guide to help you find the absolute best thermal spots for your personal wellness routine.

I spoke with their team directly to ask about fitting a cabin into a tight stone townhouse, and their honest, no-pressure advice was genuinely refreshing.

Clean Facilities and Professional Stone Treatment

I spent the whole day enjoying the facilities, pool, sauna, relaxation room, emotional shower and etc. Everything was clean, well organized and very relaxing.

I had the “American Hot Stone” treatment and it was excellent. A special thank you to Thaís, who was incredibly kind and professional.

Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a premium and relaxing spa experience.

Amazing Japanese Massage and Hidden Gem

I had an amazing strong Japanese massage with Lourdes. She is highly attentive and knows exactly how to release tension while still making the experience deeply calming. Thank you, Lourdes, for such a wonderful treatment. The lovely tea afterwards was a beautiful touch and completed the experience perfectly.

I am in love with with place. It’s a really hidden gem in Malta. I recommend package for couples which includes massage, private use of sauna, jacuzzi, pools and glass of Prosecco. We spent a lovely time here! The spa itself is well equipped, with a sauna, indoor pool, comfortable laying beds, and a salt room for deep relaxation.

One point for improvement would be the steam room, as there was an unpleasant smell inside, similar to mould, such as no shower or hose available to rinse the benches.
