When I first walked into Christa’s Pet Clinic, I knew that they’re not only focused on urgent care, but also emphasise practical services like parasite control and diagnostics.
Their parasite-control programme stood out to me. It’s a year-round protection from pests like fleas, ticks, and even parasites. The clinic believes that prevention isn’t an option, but a part of good pet care.

“If I could give Christa’s Pet Clinic more than five stars, I would. After a terrible experience the week before at a different practitioner, the staff at this clinic did absolutely everything to facilitate us on such short notice. It was a visit which required an uncomfortable but necessary injection, and yet it went smoother and quicker than we could possibly have expected. My dog showed no sign of discomfort, pain or even notice of the needle before, during and after — and our anxieties were laid to rest. Dr Sara and her trainee assistant had the best bedside manner that I have ever encountered at a veterinary clinic. Not only were they welcoming, warm and reassuring, but they explained their reasoning behind every decision. Your pet will be taken good care of here!”

One of the things that really caught my eye was their microchipping and pet passports service. It’s more than just a legal requirement because it’s considered a necessity for responsible pet ownership.
By law, dogs over four months are required to be microchipped, and Vetcare handles everything from insertion to registration and provides travel documents.
An equally impressive feat is their clinical animal behaviour offering. Led by a qualified specialist, the clinic tackles issues like separation anxiety, storm phobias, and house-soiling.
This means you’re not just treating symptoms, you’re addressing the main cause, which gives the pet and the owner a better quality of life.
The only limitation here is that consultations regarding behaviour issues need to be carefully scheduled and referred to specialists. Plus, walk-ins aren’t allowed.

Visiting Animal Aid, I was impressed by how they treat standard services with the same care as emergencies. From the moment I walked in, I sensed a professional team that truly cares for pets.
I brought my dog in for dental cleaning, and the vet explained how this doesn’t just fight bad breath. It prevents gum disease and even heart or kidney complications.
They showed me before-and-after pics from my dog’s cleaning, and walked me through how bacteria in the gums can affect my pet’s overall health. It was clear that preventive care was one of their strong suits.
What also stood out was their connection with an after-hours emergency network through the Malta Veterinary Association. This means they can cater to sudden issues, giving pet owners peace of mind.
If there’s one small downside, it’s that the clinic doesn’t offer many specialised treatments. The advanced surgeries or rare conditions might be referred elsewhere.

A friend of mine recently recommended Animal Medical Centre in Attard, so I decided to check it out. I can now see why many pet owners trust them.
The clinic feels bright and calm the moment you walk in, with friendly staff who help you feel at ease. They really take their time with each case they handle.
What stood out the most to me was their house calls. Their vets can visit your home for check-ups and minor treatments, which is a huge relief if your pets get anxious about car rides.
They also run nurse clinics, where trained nurses guide you on everyday care like weight checks and dental hygiene. It’s the kind of personal touch that helps you feel supported even after leaving the clinic.
The only drawback here is that the clinic doesn’t cater to complex cases like orthopaedic treatments or oncology cases.

I first discovered QVC when I was searching for a clinic that offered more than just routine check-ups. I wanted a place equipped to handle both minor and more advanced cases under one roof.
What immediately impressed me was how organised their consultations are. They first start with first-line consultations. This is perfect for general health checks, vaccinations, and wellness advice.
But what really sets them apart are their advanced consultations. It covers cases in neurology, orthopaedics, and more—services that many clinics in Malta don’t provide.
It’s clear that they’re equipped for complex care, with modern diagnostic tools and a knowledgeable team. During my visit, they thoroughly explained the importance of using diagnostic imaging to pinpoint pet issues.
If there’s one small catch, it’s that advanced consultations are in high demand, so booking a slot needs some patience.
The remarkable improvement is a miracle in our books
“Dr. Alina at QVC Qormi saved our cat’s life. We recently moved here from the U.S., and I can say that is she is the best veterinarian we’ve ever had.
Our cat Hedwig was losing weight, not eating, and not acting her normal self, so we took her here to have her blood drawn. She is a very feisty cat and all other doctors have had to sedate her to take her blood. Dr. Alina and her colleague were able to do it, even without calming meds. She was so gentle and kind with Hedwig.
Unfortunately, Hedwig has been diagnosed with stage 4 chronic kidney disease, but with the help of the doctor and her wonderful colleagues, she is doing much better. Hedwig was on her death bed, but after 3 weeks of careful treatment prescribed by Dr. Alina, she is almost back to being herself. Her remarkable improvement is a miracle in our books and we will forever be grateful to Dr. Alina and her team. We couldn’t recommend her and this clinic more.

If it were not for QVC, I might have lost my cat
“QVC are one of the best clinics in Malta, and one of the very few to offer their own emergency services 24/7.
If it was not for QVC i might have lost my Cat – Ollie.
Ollie is only 3 years old and has suffered multiple urinary blockages, however, QVC have really invested in his well being and are determined for Ollie’s issue to resolve, and for him to live a normal a life as possible.
they do not give up easily and apply all the latest scientific methods possible.
They listen to your concerns, are open to suggestions and no matter how many questions – they answer them all with care and patience.
They truely do care, and no matter at what hour.
