Top 10 fairy-tale wedding venues in Malta for big yes energy

We were helping our cousin find wedding venues in Malta when we confidently strolled into what looked like a garden chapel, only to find ourselves in a buzzing hotel lobby.

Between our late-night Zoom calls with her partner, endless scrolling through venue galleries, and tangled Google Maps directions, we realised that choosing the right spot shouldn’t feel too stressful.

So, we went on a hunt for a cliff-top terrace and a historic palazzo. We’ve talked to coordinators and reached out to people online. Luckily, we found the spots that we’re happy to share with you.

1. Palazzo Parisio

We’ve seen Palazzo Parisio, an 18th-century palace, complete with Baroque frescoes and Italianate gardens. What stood out to us first was the dramatic marble staircase that truly feels like travelling back in time.

Their Sala Lombarda is ideal for intimate gatherings of up to 50 guests, due to its jewel-box proportions. Meanwhile, the grand ballroom can host up to 500 people yet still feels cosy beneath its bronze chandeliers.

The Garden offers the perfect al fresco setting for couples seeking outdoor charm and grandeur. We heard the lush greenery and stone pergolas create stunning photo backdrops at sunset.

However, please note that this venue can fill up quickly from June to December, so advance planning is essential.

Pro Tip:

Trust us, you have to book your venue tour around sunset. There’s something magical about seeing the Palazzo Parisio’s frescoes lit up in a warm, golden light.

We’ve noticed some couples had carved their initials and wedding date into the entrance stone. It’s kind of sweet, like their day becomes part of the castle’s story.

And since music’s allowed until 3 AM, you can keep the party going under the stars without feeling like you have to wrap up early.
