5 best singing lesson studios in Malta that train rising stars
Singing isn’t just something you’re born with… it’s a talent that needs to be nurtured. Especially in contests, the ones who stand out are usually those who’ve had professional training.
This is where singing studios come in. These places are great at identifying a student’s potential, and well-known tutors are often highly sought after for the personalised training experiences they provide.
I know quite a few people who have had positive experiences with these tutors. With their help, I’ve put together a list of the best singing lesson studios in Malta, so anyone who wants to learn can find their rhythm and sing with confidence.
How much do singing lessons cost in Malta?
Singing lessons in Malta typically cost between €20 to €40 per hour. This can vary depending on the vocal coach’s experience, the style of singing being taught, and the class setting.
1. Music Academy Malta

Address: 59 Triq il-Parroċċa, Il-Mellieħa MLH1066
Contact Details: +356 7777 1827
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Music Academy Malta believes that music is for everyone, and I couldn’t agree more. Equal chances are offered to everyone who uses their services, and students can try out a free class to see if they’ll vibe with their instructors.
Leading musicians in the Maltese music scene make up their team. From performers like Svitlana Reder and Ervin Nagy, students are enamoured by their dedication and passion for music.
Classes are mainly focused on piano lessons, and singing is taught as a complement to these. Instructors nurture each student’s passion and develop these skills in preparation for recitals and concerts, which I highly appreciate.
All ages are taught at this tuition, and classes don’t just focus on the craft. I was impressed that the theories are also integrated for each student’s holistic experience.
However, I was disappointed to learn that the services are quite expensive at around €200 per 2 classes, from their previous €160.
Makes the learning time a pleasure to attend
“Highly recommend Music Academy Malta. Ms Swetlana is very patient. There is no pressure on students and they are allowed to learn at their own pace. Makes the learning time a pleasure to attend.”

A creative and inclusive place
“Music Academy Malta is a creative and inclusive place that encourages students (and teachers) to achieve their dreams and reach goals they never thought they could. Here you’ll experience an understanding and very productive learning environment where those around you believe in your potential, and give you necessary tools for you to flourish.”

2. VocalBooth Studios

Address: Cannon Rd, Santa Venera
Contact Details: [email protected]
Led and founded by Pamela Bezzina, a known voice rehabilitation therapist in Malta, VocalBooth Studios prides itself on its contemporary approach to music. Impressively, a variety of music styles are offered here, mainly concert and musical theatre.
Classes are conducted in a vocal booth to give each student an authentic experience. Using the latest technology, students are trained within their vocal range while receiving guidance on their tone and vocal registers.
I couldn’t help but gush over the acoustics of the room, since it offers a clear and unfiltered vocal experience to each singer.
Classes are offered either as one-on-one sessions or in vocal groups, providing options that cater to different types of singers. Vocal massage is also available, which I found helpful in easing tension before performances.
But I find it difficult to get there due to Santa Venera being a traffic-prone area. Nonetheless, the drive is well worth it.
Such a professional school
“Such a professional school with professional teachers .keep up the good work .”

3. Claire McCartin Vocal Studio

Address: 3, Triq Il- Prinjol, Iklin
Contact Details: +356 9926 2511
A regular performer in Malta, Russia, and Austria, Claire McCartin’s Vocal Studio is a great place to learn how to sing the blues. A founding member of the Institute for Vocal Advancement, I found her to be an effective instructor.
Her license as a Certified Level IV Advanced Instructor assures me that she is one of the best that the island has to offer. It’s even more impressive to learn that she was one of the jurors at the esteemed Russian singing competition “The Magic World of Coulisses”.
Vocal techniques are where Claire truly shines. Exercises are often implemented during classes, which I found to be effective at relaxing the larynx and the vocal cords. Students are so used to this that it comes as naturally as speaking to them.
As for performances, Lucienne Camilleri is an impressive performance coach. Lucienne helps students find their groove and sound—all the while boosting their confidence.
However, classes are often limited due to Claire’s busy schedule as a performer.

I would like to thank all the teachers who helped her get to this point
“Our for-ever little determined munchkin is preparing to leave the nest. We are so grateful and proud that she was accepted for a Diploma in Musical Theatre at the prestigious Bird College London despite her young age. Since a little girl, inspired by her brother, she always dreamt of studying theatre in London, and she would let nothing stop her, be it covid, injury, surgery or rehab.
At this milestone, I would like to thank all teachers helped her get to this point, particularly her dance and musical theatre teachers who prepared her for every exam and audition throughout the years. There are a lot of you so I cannot name you all but you all know who you are. You are all part of our girl’s journey THANK YOU. A special mention to her teachers who helped her prepare for her audition for Bird Collegeuk last January – Ms Kat Elwards and Mr Lawrence Parsons from Spirit YDC. Mr Stephen Oliver Ms Kristina Bianco Lee McCallion Claire McCartin and Abigail Brown .
Dear Marianna Micallef “proud of you” doesn’t explain enough how we feel – keep working hard and believing in yourself, xxx dreams do come true when you work hard xxx”

4. The Box

Address: Znuber, Il-Mosta
Contact Details: +356 7973 4563
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
When discussing art studios, one cannot fail to mention The Box. Spearheaded by Christina Cauchi and Daniel Cauchi, I love that this husband-and-wife duo promotes dance, theatre, and, of course, singing.
Singing lessons at The Box are primarily for children. While there are adult classes, these are limited to instruments rather than singing.
Yet, I love that music theory is highly focused on at The Box, and students are allowed to explore various musical instruments while learning. As for dedicated services, I appreciate that there are ones for drums and percussion instruments, as well as one for piano.
Additionally, they’re known to host independent projects, and I like that collaboration is encouraged between the music school, the theatre school, and the dance school. Signing up is easy because their website is very user-friendly.
However, they require students to provide significant personal information, such as medical records and existing photos. If you’re unwilling, they may not entertain your applications.
Very well organised
“Amazing teachers. Well located. Great waiting area for parents. Free WiFi. Very well organized.”

5. Mużik Art Studio

Address: 260 Cannon Rd, Santa Venera
Contact Details: +356 7706 8631
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Located in a cosy music studio in Santa Venera, Muzik Art Studio is a modern rehearsal space offering reliable singing and drum classes, suitable for both beginner and advanced students.
Catering to all ages and skill levels, I appreciate that each lesson is personalised. Instructors focus on breathing techniques, voice control, and stage presence—skills I find essential for strong performance.
Drum classes, on the other hand, offer coordination and technique mastery. These cover a variety of music styles, which is something I highly value. Drum rehearsals are done in a soundproof room that lets students truly hear themselves play.
Just note that the vocal and drum classes are expensive at around €40 per hour.
Rehearsal rooms are also available for rent, and clients can even go for their subscription service. The subscription service costs a reasonable €72 and €144 per month, respectively.
Overall, a fantastic place for anyone looking to improve
“I highly recommend this music school! The location is very convenient, and the prices are reasonable. My vocal coach, Anna, is an incredible professional – her teaching approach is both inspiring and effective. Thanks to her, I’ve made great progress in a short time.
The rehearsal room (with great piano and electronic drums) are also excellent, with a comfortable atmosphere and great acoustics. Overall, a fantastic place for anyone looking to improve their musical skills!”
